An introduction to object-based teaching and learning (OBTL) which offers support in one’s journey with OBTL.
By introducing various examples of different uses of VR and 3D printed objects at the VU in different fields ranging from quantum chemistry to sociology, this website is not only inspiring for educators but also illustrates what these technologies can offer OBTL.
This website is especially interesting for Dutch educators who are at the beginning of their OBTL journey and might not have a teaching collection available to them. For instance, the University Library offers to support educators in connecting learning goals and practical OBTL applications. Educators can also reserve objects they want to use in their lessons or receive tailored support and suggestions as to what objects might best suit the subjects taught and learning objectives.
See section 3. OBTL tools and section 2. Tools to learn more about the use of different tools in teaching with objects
The website is in Dutch but can be translated
For definitions of OBTL see section II. Definitions from the State of the field
