The Miami website is a  go-to source to get a first introduction to object-based teaching and learning (OBTL).

This website introduces a comprehensive overview of OBTL as an educational approach. It does this by (1) defining OBTL and introducing the theoretical framework behind it, (2) presenting a variety of ways to engage with OBTL, and  (3) reflecting on the benefits and challenges of this method. This is complemented and illustrated by a series of examples in different fields (e.g: art history, engineering) from Miami University.

This website also expands on a few steps for educators and curators to consider to integrate OBTL in their curriculum, namely, (1) assessing learning outcomes and goals, (2) selecting objects, (3)gaining access, (4) considering engagement methods.

This source also has a list of references, which introduces a variety of other interesting and important accounts when it comes to OBTL and the principles behind it.

When describing the steps educators/curators should consider when integrating OBTL in their curriculum, this website introduces a series of especially interesting questions to inspire future OBTL practitioners who are preparing a lesson. For instance, “How will your students interact with the object? Thought small group projects, creative expression, technology, or simply a classroom discussion with open ended questions?”.
